Soul Gospel Music
The CD has a soul gospel sound with a cross of Sam Cooke, Motown and James Brown. I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 31, 1955. As a child I was influenced by jazz, blues, rhythm and blues and soul gospel. the music on this CD reflects that sound that was instilled in me due to my environment. The music tells a story of a soul singer who gave his life to God after one of his concerts. The soul singer was convicted by Holy Spirit that all soul's belong to God. The soul singer accepted that call and begin to sang for the Lord. As you can hear, the musical influenced from his childhood was imbedded so deep into his spirit that it came out gospel with a soul influenced. The music celebrates Jesus at an urban setting of everyday life as reborn man. The soul singer puts into song the struggles of his past of making his" Angel Cry" to being a "Man About It" in all of his actions. finally, the soul singer has his "Mind Made Up" to serve the Lord and invites others to "Try Him Out." the music has a lot of energy and musically the instruments are telling the story of "The Diary of A Soul Man." God bless and I hope you enjoy the dialogue of the words and the music of the songs. Amen.
